The Progressive Wage Model (PWM) helps to increase wages of workers through upgrading skills and improving productivity.
Employers must ensure that their Singapore citizen and PR workers meet the PWM training requirements of attaining at least 1 Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) Statement of Attainment, out of the list of approved WSQ training modules.

Steps to Apply Skills Future Claim
- The staff will send you an invoice with the fee breakdown.
- Login to the MySkillsFuture portal, select the course you’re enrolling on and enter the course date and schedule.
- Enter the course fee payable by you (including GST) and enter the amount of credit to claim.
- Upload your invoice and click ‘Submit’

Get Additional Course Fee Support Up to $500 under UTAP
The Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) is a training benefit provided to NTUC Union Members with an objective of encouraging them to upgrade with skills training. It is provided to minimize the training cost. If you are a NTUC Union Member then you can get 50% funding (capped at $500 per year) under Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP).

- Log in to your U Portal account to submit your UTAP application upon completion of the course.

- An unfunded course fee can be claimed via SkillsFuture Credit or paid in cash.
- UTAP funding for NTUC Union Members is capped at $250 for 39 years and below and at $500 for 40 years and above.
- UTAP support amount will be paid to training provider first and claimed after end of class by learner.
Appeal Process
- The candidate has the right to disagree with the assessment decision made by the assessor.
- When giving feedback to the candidate, the assessor must check with the candidate if he agrees with the assessment outcome.
- If the candidate agrees with the assessment outcome, the assessor & the candidate must sign the Assessment Summary Record.
- If the candidate disagrees with the assessment outcome, he/she should not sign in the Assessment Summary Record.
- If the candidate intends to appeal the decision, he/she should first discuss the matter with the assessor/assessment manager.
- If the candidate is still not satisfied with the decision, the candidate must notify the assessor of the decision to appeal. The assessor will reflect the candidate’s intention in the Feedback Section of the Assessment Summary Record.
- The assessor will notify the assessor manager about the candidate’s intention to lodge an appeal.
- The candidate must lodge the appeal within 7 days, giving reasons for appeal
- The assessor can help the candidate with writing and lodging the appeal.
- he assessment manager will collect information from the candidate & assessor and give a final decision.
- A record of the appeal and any subsequent actions and findings will be made.
- An Assessment Appeal Panel will be formed to review and give a decision.
- The outcome of the appeal will be made known to the candidate within 2 weeks from the date the appeal was lodged.
- The decision of the Assessment Appeal Panel is final and no further appeal will be entertained.

What the course has done well in: - Good overall introduction to tools that are easy to understand and picked up by people from different levels of expertise and age group. - Encouraging and patient instructor - Effective Tools and prompts were shared What the course has done badly in: 1. Quite a fair number of objectives mentioned in the course description is not accurate to the overall direction of what was taught. What was mentioned in the course write up but NOT covered in the course: “focusing on developing a comprehensive content strategy” There was minimal strategy taught, it was mostly a sharing of prompts to copy and paste, without clear sharing of why and what objectives they are meeting. “to meet organizational goals” This has not been established as well too, on how to cater clear to organisational goals. “identify their target audience” This was not taught too, other than copying and pasting a prompt with no reasoning. “The course emphasizes the importance of aligning AI-generated content with business strategies, ensuring content not only captivates but also converts." There is no aligning content with any strategy, no mention about how to engage, captivate or convert attention. I don’t thing there was a single mention of the word “strategy” or convert” throughout the whole 2 days. “Beyond the basics,” It felt like only the basics were taught “Participants will come away with a solid plan for managing their marketing content, equipped to navigate the emerging trends and ethical considerations in AI content delivery, ensuring their content strategy remains both innovative and responsible.” None of this were really taught, other than sharing prompts to copy & paste. Those prompts were good, but nothing else was learnt. “Learning Outcomes: - Establish an overall strategy for AI-generated content and target audience for the organisation - Evaluate and align marketing content ideas to ensure they serve business goals. - Develop a plan for managing marketing content with a content management system.” Same, none of these were really taught. 2. A lot of time was wasted in technical issues, and we were just left waiting. The first 1.5 hours was spent by the instructor trying to figure out how to share screen on Teams. After the whole issue, throughout the 2 days much time was spent in admin processes, waiting for instructor to review submissions, etc. Leaving a huge amount of passive waiting time that can be used way more effective. I would say 20-25% of the time was very inefficient, where more can be taught or used for activities for better learning. OVERALL The class mostly taught basics of content tools with some good ready prompts to create content, if the class was titled “Creating content with AI tools”, then it has successfully fulfilled its objective. However “Creating Engaging Content” was not true to what was taught, and its strong emphasis on strategy, aligning to client’s objectives, etc, were merely a touch and go affair, with almost no learning other than copy and pasting. This portion felt like false advertising of the class, and the irony is that the course description seemed to be cleverly written by GenAI to appeal to students, but did not come close to delivering. I have given a positive review for the class in Skillsfuture, seeing how the class was helpful to the other students as they came in with pure beginner expectations of learning how to “Create content with AI tools”, however I’m sharing my experience as an individual here, that though I managed to learn something new, it was all on beginner introduction to AI tools - which was a good 2-3 hours of learning - but the course did not deliver on most of its emphasised objectives, and would be more beneficial to students if the write-up of the course was more honest.
